Sugar & Spice Ranch helps sponsor mother/daughter horseback riding vacation to Bandera, Texas

Put on your cowboy boots and grab pen and paper. If you have always dreamed of spending some time with your cowgirl mom, here’s your chance. Sugar & Spice Ranch will help sponsor your horseback riding vacation through their creative writing scholarship program. The contest is open now and ends March 1, 2012.

Sugar & Spice Ranch, located in Bandera, Texas, is holding their third annual scholarship program for Summer 2012. The ranch has had so much success in getting girls to write and express themselves in the last two years that they have decided to continue the program and make it an annual tradition. This contest is open to girls who would like to come to the Sugar & Spice Ranch with their moms. All past guests of the ranch are encouraged to join in, as well. This contest is for the TEXAS program only.

The Sugar & Spice Ranch contest rules to win horseback riding vacation

The contest will require an essay to be written by the daughter about why she would like to come to the Sugar & Spice Ranch and what she would expect to get out of being at the ranch for a week with her mom. The essay should be at least 500 words. This is a thought provoking exercise and should be evident in the writing.

“It’s a wonderful way to engage ones mind and have the girls look within themselves as to what they intend to get out of such a unique experience with their moms,” says Sugar & Spice Ranch owner Leigh McCourt. “Gals who have been here before are also encouraged to participate in the contest…because there is always more to experience here and, as you all know, the experiences here are ever changing and moving forward as is life!”

Moms are welcome to proof read and help a little but,  the thoughts should come from your daughters.

If you win, please do come

One last thing, if you are not going to use the scholarship or if the ranch awards it to you, they would really appreciate everyone using the prize they receive. The Sugar & Spice Ranch had two winners last year that never made it to the ranch. What a shame for the girls who put so much effort into this contest.

The Sugar & Spice Ranch Facebook Fans will participate in the voting process.

Additionally, a couple of successful authors will help in the selection process of the final winners…Reid L. Rosenthal, Author of Threads West An American Saga and Rodney V. Earle, author of Triple C Ranch Saga.
