Equus Hotel & Marina Tower, Honolulu, HI Horseback Riding Vacation
Fancy riding a polo pony on your next horseback riding vacation to the island of Oahu, rather than riding the waves off Hawaii’s Waikiki beach on a surf board ? I have a suggestion for you. The Equus Hotel & Marina Tower is offering its new Town & Country package and Trailblazer package for horse lovers. Guests who choose to book one of the two packages can opt for a guided horseback riding vacation on the beaches of Oahu’s North Shore or a private polo lesson at the Hawaii Polo Club. Guests will also receive complimentary tickets to one of the Hawaii Polo Club’s Sunday matches (a Hawaii institution) when in season.
The 67-room Equus Hotel offers guests a taste of the islands, keeping true to its original Hawaiian equestrian theme. Ralph Lauren-inspired touches mixed with vintage paniolo cowboy photographs and artwork provide guests a place to hang their cowboy hat while visiting the island of Oahu. The addition of 136 rooms in the 40-story Marina Tower gives guests the option of choosing accommodations with panoramic ocean views that resemble studio apartments complete with kitchenettes.
Equus Trail-Blazer Package: Includes deluxe accommodations in an executive king polo room, oceanside trail ride at the polo grounds on Oahu’s North Shore, two tickets to a polo match, complimentary continental breakfast and turn down service. Starting at $210 (additional fees apply for additional horseback riders).
Equus Town & Country Package: Includes deluxe accommodations in an executive king polo room, private polo lessons (for one) at the Hawaii Polo Club, tickets to polo match (in season), complimentary continental breakfast and turn down service. Starting at $220.
Located one block from the beach, the hotel has two swimming pools and an outdoor whirlpool spa to recover from your horseback riding vacation. There is also a private tennis court on the grounds. Guestrooms feature pillow-top beds and linens, flat screen HDTVs, mid-sized refrigerators with freezer, complimentary Internet access and domestic phone calls, coffee makers and toiletries. Some rooms also offer balconies.
The Marina Tower features glass elevators soaring 40 stories high, providing panoramic ocean and Diamond Head views from many of its 136 guestrooms. With just four rooms per floor, the Waikiki Beach property has some of the most quiet and private rooms on the island. For families traveling with children, or girlfriend getaways, each room in the Marina Tower is equipped with a kitchenette with two-burner stovetop; mid-sized refrigerator; microwave; cooking utensils and dinnerware.
