For those of us who have hung up our ice skates, scraped the snow off our skis, put away our snowboard or simply prefer a hot cup of cocoa and a warm blanket, this sleigh ride’s for you. Enjoy!

One of my favorite places to go on a horseback riding vacation is Sunriver, Oregon. Doesn’t this sleigh ride next to the Deschutes River look magical?

This photo was taken with the Percheron horses at Jackson Fork Ranch in Wyoming the day a snow-storm was moving in. You can see the clouds building over the mountains in the distance

What fun it is to take a sleigh ride to dinner at Lone Mountain Guest Ranch in Big Sky, Montana. The ranch also makes a great base camp for Yellowstone Park trips.

Have you experienced a sleigh ride in the mountains? The folks at The High Lonesome Ranch in DeBeque, Colorado will show you a good time in the snow.

I haven’t stayed at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge in Jasper, Alberta. But what’s not to like about a sleigh ride in magnificent Canada?
Have you taken a winter horseback riding vacation? What are your favorite memories of riding or taking a sleigh ride in the snow?
All photos courtesy of each ranch, resort or lodge.
Beautiful! I love peaceful, sleigh rides in the mountains!
@Sonya
