Guest can enjoy one hour private or semi-private lessons during their horseback riding vacation at the Hacienda Corona with riding instructor Phil Stover. For equestrians wanting to ride two and a half hours to five day over-night pack trips, Ride the West is an equitrekking company offering pack trips and trail rides to horse enthusiasts of all levels.

Ride the West uses Quarter Horses and matches each horse to the rider’s experience. Their horses have been trained and chosen for their endurance and ability to handle Arizona’s rocky and varied terrain. Due to terrain and long hours in the saddle, novice riders will want to spend some time preparing for their horseback riding vacation.

  1. The Hacienda Corona de Guevavi looks a gorgeous place to stay – with real history and character, and excellent horse riding opportunities. The room rates push it beyond Darn Good Digs territory, but it sure does seem like a real winner.
